Webster developer Galaxy Life Sciences purchased the final three lots at The Reactory biomanufacturing campus on Belmont Street in Worcester for $4 million on Thursday.

The sale was part of a 2020 contract Galaxy had with the nonprofit Worcester Business Development Corp. to purchase the sites when the new road at the site was completed, said Galaxy Development Principal Michael O’Brien.

The company purchased lot 3B in 2020 for $1.9 million in 2020 and built the 95,000-square-foot Galaxy Life Building. The company plans on filing an application to expand the footprint of that building to suit a prospective life sciences user, O’Brien said via email on Friday.

Galaxy Life Sciences is an affiliate of Galaxy Development, also owned by O’Brien.

New Garden Park Inc., the nonprofit entity of the Worcester Business Development Corp., sold lots 7 & 8 at the site for $3.3 million and lot 3A for $700,000 to Galaxy, according to the Worcester District Registry of Deeds.

The Reactory is a 46-acre site planned and developed by the WBDC for life science business development. Chinese firm, WuXi Biologics is building a 189,500-square-foot facility on the campus.

The campus is on the former grounds of the Worcester State Hospital and is near where other life sciences research is being performed in the city, including at UMass Chan Medical School and the Worcester offices of Illinois-based pharmaceutical company AbbVie.
