Lisa is a Project Manager for the WBDC with experience executing fundraising campaigns, placemaking initiatives, research projects and project management.
In her capacity as Project Manager, Lisa has a successful record of accomplishment leading and supporting innovative arts and culture projects and startups to spur neighborhood revitalization. Lisa managed the construction of the Worcester PopUP located at 20 Franklin Street in addition to piloting two previous Pop Up projects downtown. As a co-director of POW! WOW! Worcester 2018, she led a 20 person committee to complete the City’s third annual international arts festival. Ms. Drexhage also participated in the Steering Committee for the establishment of the Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District and attends monthly Theatre District Alliance meetings.
Prior to joining the WBDC in 2013, Lisa worked alongside Clark University faculty members researching the development of Worcester’s Biotech Cluster. The goal was to identify critical success factors and recommend strategies to create other technology clusters and promote innovation. Ms. Drexhage manages the innovation spaces at 20 Franklin Street known as the Worcester Idea Lab and currently supports the needs of startups and local universities who utilize the space.
Lisa has collaborated with diverse clientele including higher education institutions, local governments, and various businesses. Ms, Drexhage has demonstrated her ability to manage these projects effectively and her familiarity with arts and culture and innovation ecosystems makes her a valuable addition to the WBDC.
Lisa received her BA from Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.
