Pamela A. DiScipio
Executive Assistant to the President & CEO and Portfolio Manager

As the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO and Portfolio Manager of the organization’s SBA 504 Loan Program, Pam brings more than 30 years of office management and event planning experience to the Worcester Business Development Corporation (WBDC).

In addition to providing executive administrative support to the President & CEO, Pam performs various duties of an advanced, complex, sensitive, and confidential nature.  She handles materials relating to development projects, the Board of Directors, and numerous subcommittees with a professional demeanor.

With her exceptional organization skills, she has streamlined efficiency by migrating staff to digital calendars and found cost saving measures around the office.  Pam’s administrative role touches all the organization’s projects and day-to-day operations, keeping the WBDC’s goals and objectives at the forefront.

As Portfolio Manager of the WBDC’s SBA 504 Loan Program, Pam works with small business owners, the Small Business Administration, and local lending institutions to provide financing to small businesses that do not qualify for conventional loans.  Pam is also responsible for borrower servicing of the corporation’s 504 Loan portfolio.

One of Pam’s proudest accomplishments has been elevating the organization’s annual business meeting to the next level.  From attendance to financial support to the caliber of content, Pam has set a new standard for the WBDC’s annual event.  She has created a self-sustaining and must-attend community gathering that welcomes more than 400 attendees including state and local government officials, area business and financial leaders, and other stakeholders.

Throughout the year, Pam also plays a pivotal role in organizing groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, and press conferences to generate public awareness and create buzz for the projects and investors.

Before joining the WBDC in 2007, Pam was the associate director of alumni relations at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) where she was responsible for alumni programs and activities, including the annual reunion, homecoming, and the presidential founder’s dinner.  Pam also served as chief staff officer to the WPI Alumni Association.

After raising her family, Pam returned to college and received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Eastern Nazarene College.  She also received a management certificate from the Colleges of Worcester Consortium.

Pam enjoys spending time with her family including her three grandchildren and traveling.
