In October 2025, the Worcester Business Development Corporation (WBDC), in partnership with Rockland Trust and BDC Capital, proudly supported Tim Nickerson, founder of N&T Mechanical Contractors, and his team through the SBA 504 Loan Program. This financing—totaling $4,250,000 in project costs—enabled N&T Mechanical to purchase a significantly larger property in Sterling. The new facility provides expanded space for material and supply storage and positions the company for continued growth following its relocation from Clinton. As a veteran-owned business, N&T Mechanical also benefited from a Veterans Advantage fee waiver through NADCO’s Veterans Advantage Program.

Since its founding in 2007, N&T Mechanical has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial and industrial HVAC and plumbing services across Massachusetts.

With Tim being a veteran of both the United States Coast Guard and the United States Air Force, N&T Mechanical is honored to be recognized as both a Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) and a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB). These certifications are awarded to businesses that are at least 51% owned and operated by veterans, reflecting a foundation of discipline, accountability, and excellence. Through these designations, the company is eligible to support government and federal projects, including set-aside and sole-source contracts. More importantly, they underscore a continued commitment to service—not only to clients, but to the broader community and country.

As Tim looks toward retirement, he is focused on the future of the company, with plans to transition ownership to his three sons, Chad, Robert, and Kevin. In this next chapter, he looks forward to supporting fellow veteran entrepreneurs and spending more time with his ten grandchildren.
